I’m typing this on my phone upon leaving the watch- I don’t have, nor am I saying, any other information than what’s being reported via the news right now. The USCG’s put out a press release (here) that a Coast Guard airplane and a DoD aircraft had a mid-air collision. Open source news, here and here, are reporting the mid-air collision of a Coast Guard C-130 with seven souls on board and a USMC AH-1 Cobra with two over the water off of San Clemente Island.
I’m sure more news will be hitting the net as the day goes; go here for the Google news search of “Coast Guard.”
It’s going to be a tough weekend for our fellow Coast Guard families; our prayers are with all of them.
