Just plain knackered

Today’s word prompt almost seems as if it were selected for me: knackeredI’m sorry, what’s that? You may have thought.

I’ll admit, as much as I pride myself on my personal lexicon, I didn’t know what knackered was. So, first things first; knackered simply mean “tired or wore out.” For example: “the old CD player is knackered.” Not a common world by any means. But it’s today’s world (and word).

I have been feeling knackered as of late. I can’t explain it. I even held a conversation with my wife last night about how I’m unsure why I’m so lethargic and drained. Who knows, is there something going on inside my little head or perhaps it’s the world at large? I just don’t know.

I had to look the word up too… haha. It’s British slang which is probably why I was unfamiliar with the term. Sending some energy your way! Great post!
