9/11, another year and another rememberance

Tuesday, September 11. On this day six years ago, America suffered one of its darkest days — as hijacked airliners, piloted by terrorists, hit the World Trade Center towers in New York and the Pentagon in Virginia. A fourth airliner crashed in Pennsylvania, apparently as passengers fought with the hijackers. Nearly 3,000 people perished in the attacks, most of them in New York. Liberty can feed herself

Today we witnessed Liberty finally feeding herself Cheerios. Of course she wouldn’t do it for Mom and Dad, she had to get proper instruction from Grandpa Mike and Grandma Bird. A day of firsts (and pumpkin carving)

Today was a day of firsts’: Asia’s first time having syrup on her waffles, my (Ryan’s) first time actually making waffles by myself, our first time as a family (since we have been married) carving pumpkins, Liberty ate Cheerios and used a sippy cup of water all by herself. Liberty Amor Erickson

She is here! Liberty Amor Erickson, 9.01 lbs., 19 3/4 inches long, born at 3:21 p.m. today. She and Mom are doing great! We were going to be doing a C-section, but the little stinker flipped, so we went ahead and delivered normal. It so happens that Tami was having contractions anyway.
