Twenty-three Years Before the First Page

NORTHING goes live on Amazon on October 26, 2026, at 5 pm (1700) Phoenix/MST. It's the first of three books, and all three are already written, which is rare enough in this genre that it's worth saying plainly: nobody who starts this trilogy will be waiting years for the next installment.

The book grew out of two very different chapters of my life. Nineteen years in the Coast Guard, and before that, time with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Neither of those experiences translates directly into fiction, but the instincts do. The way a small crew operates under pressure, the specific weight of a chain of command, the kind of silence that settles over a ship or a unit when something has gone wrong. That's the material NORTHING is built from, wrapped around a story about a Machinery Technician who ends up somewhere far outside his job description.
